Sculpture by Sarah Cotterill

Inspired by Magic Myth & Nature

Sarah has long been fascinated by the shapes you can see in nature, whether they be faces seen in the clouds, a silhouette of a mountain or a rock in the shape of a head. Most of all, she is inspired by the shapes and forms which she sees when walking in woodland. This is where she draws most of her inspiration from. Maybe this is where our legends come from – the magic of the forest.

The bronze tree with a human figure forming the trunk had a working title of "woodland spirit", but is as yet untitled. The tree in the work represents nature the figure humanity.
